Kyle is one month old today! I can't believe he is growing so fast. He is now out of the newborn clothes and we are stretching it with the newborn diapers. I don't know how much he weighs now, but two weeks ago he was just over 7 lbs. He likes to eat..a lot. Several times he has nursed for close to an hour and still acts hungry. I have given him a few ounces of formula and he does well both digesting the formula and switching back and forth between breast feeding and bottle. He'll need to drink from a bottle at daycare (in a few months) so it's great that he is having no issues. Zack is loving his little brother even if he is a little "boring." Kyle gets hugs an kisses from his big brother and they even play "baby karate" and pirates. This consists of Zack moving Kyles arms and either saying "Hi-ya" (karate) or "Arghhh" (Pirate) while Kyle stares with big eyes. I think they will have fun together.
I am healing up pretty well after the c-section. I have to say this recovery is significantly harder than with Zack. Of course I didn't have my abdomen cut open when he was born... I'm just grateful that I live in place and time where they can get the baby out out 5 minutes after they discover a problem. Since Kyle decided it was a good idea to wrap the umbilical cord around his neck twice, he would not have made it into the world in the traditional way. Stinker!
I hope to update more often as well as get some pictures posted. Between the lack of sleep, holidays and internet problems, I have not been on-line much in the past month. I'm sure that will change. Especially after I go back to work in March...
